Objective Achieved

Just to give Trinity its due, I will start with a couple of photos from our trip out to dinner last night as Trinity  settlement is beautiful and with the sun shining it looked great.  Even the Hi De Hi chalets became quaint and quirky rather than run down shacks with sun instead of rain.

Today was about one thing really, reaching the East Coast, Cape Spear.  We all met up at an agreed point outside St Johns and rode in together

Gary and I just after arriving

Congratulations all round

The official photo call

It feels pretty good and we were all very happy, we must include thanks for our van man Ian for all his support

The bikes looked great all lined up and caused a bit of a stir.  Lots of people came to talk to us and were interested in our journey

So now there is nothing between us and home but a whole lot of water

Tomorrow we have a day off and a celebration team meal.

  2. paddling is on the agenda for today. we plan to go to a place called quidi vidi and paddle. it is also the location for a micro brewery that brew the local beer 1892 that the blokes have enjoyed so much. the canada we have seen is not the usual tourist canada and i am very surprised at how much of canada has very little in it! it has been brilliant though and worth all the investment. I want to do it again now
